It's Olympic time, so to celebrate the events taking place in Beijing, CGS Track & Field Championships were held at Box Hill Aths Track on Saturday August 16th.
Congratulations to all those involved, especially those who tried new and challenged themselves over longer distances and multiple events.It's Olympic time, so to celebrate the events taking place in Beijing, CGS Track & Field Championships were held at Box Hill Aths Track on Saturday August 16th.
We had several multiple gold medal winners including Michael Lane U13, Sam Cooke U14, Lewis Vitsenzatos U15, Terrence Lo U16, Hans Leung U17 and Josh Mapperson OP.
It was also exciting to see new faces: Aqshai Patel, Brendan Clark, Tom Stayner and Chris Waller all competed strongly.
Well done also to Tony Pasalidis and Jan Uwland, who competed in more events than anyone else!
AGSV Finals are on Sept 10 - but with further trials at Burwood (30/8) and Doncaster (6/9), there is still plenty of time to earn a place in the Finals Team.
